The chancellor of NYC public schools, Richard Carranza came to the New York Harbor School to learn about Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that the school offers. Avarie and I explained what sophomores learn in the Vessel Operations program. We also explained what we have been doing with our waterfront, our boats and our opinions of Vessel Ops and what we want to do in the future. Also how and why we use the simulators which is to enhance our knowledge of how to follow rules of the road, our knowledge of the area of places we go.
