The Vessel Operations Program has a robust internship program with maritime companies through out New York harbor. Students may apply for Work Based Learning Experiences For Fall, Spring and Summer Sessions. Our internship sites are maritime based with a wide variety of occupational skills that will be learned during Internship Cycle. These may include: administrative tasks; assisting with scheduling, data entries, safety management systems. Crew training and operations skills may include: safety drills, line handling, boat handling, equipment maintenance and passenger safety. All positions are paid $15.75/hr and ranges from 60-120 hours depending on the cycle period. If you’re interested fill out the WBL Internship application bellow.
Applications for Internship cycles have the following due dates: Fall Semester: September 30th, Spring Semester February 15th and Summer Session, May 15th.
