Three different strains of one whole,
following the pattern of one, two, three.
Something that seems so simple,
yet it does not bring me much glee.
Has the concept of over, and then under,
with some “door” in the middle.
This isn’t quite like a knot,
because it’s more like a riddle.
Over and over I’m taught this thing,
that aids the cages of oysters.
My hands begin to sweat of frustration,
and the strains of it get moister.
The other students finishing it with ease,
as easily as rolling a couple dice.
While I’m over here stressing myself out,
Oh boy, do I hate this Splice!
