transitions
The feeling of a breeze hitting me while I am out on Indy 7 is excited for when I can get back on the water. Working hard with my crew and mastering all the skills I have obtained is what I picture when I think of being back on the water. I can go back to docking and un-docking, tossing lines, and tying knots like I always have. The teamwork skills I learned are beneficial because I know how to be more communicative, which helps with being in a crew, but I can be more specific when talking to people in daily life. I have become more outspoken in general from this training which is one of the most significant changes. I am looking forward to doing drills like man overboard and fire because these drills help me learn to stay calm in emergencies. I can learn how to properly handle these situations to guarantee safety to those around me. The transition from doing all of this and applying it to a job and college is something I look forward to. The water is a place I yearn to go back to because it has substantially impacted my life. I will always love being on the water, and I will continue to seek a career in the field.
