Looking forward to getting back to site visits in the maritime insudstry

When we’re back on the waters I'm definitely looking forward to going out on site visits with my Vessel class. Site visits are pretty awesome because it provides an opportunity to go out and learn new things instead of learning them through a computer screen. So it's definitely something unique and special. One site visit that was definitely my favorite was when we went on board on the German Cruise Ship Mein Schiff. We had a look around inside and the best part was when we went up to the bridge and talked with the Captain of the ship. He gave us a tour around the bridge and equipment they had on it. Honestly it wasn't what I expected inside the bridge of a cruise ship. An example would be the steering wheel. I thought it would be like this big wheel but instead it turned out to be this very little lever and it was crazy to think that that little lever maneuvered this giant cruise ship. It was definitely a good trip and I learned a lot just from being on board that ship.
