The boat presentation was a great self-learning experience for me and my partner, Jasmine. We were the first people to present our topic which was a boat called a Dredger. We’ve learned that the process of dredging is the removal of sediments and debris from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors, and other water bodies.Navigational dredging is most commonly used in ports, harbors and shipping channels as a way to maintain these waterways so that large ships, oil tankers, container ships, barges and naval vessels can pass water bodies using their equipments on board as well as their hull that is split in two halves. I found it interesting how slow these boats go (3 knots) and that they are found working all over the world. What I liked the most about this project was researching the information that I’ve found and presenting it because I’ve learned a lot and I feel like me and my partner worked greatly together to make a presentation understandable and as professional as we could.
