Today in class the Coast Guard came and we got to tour their boats and learn more about the Coast Guard. They explained the Post 9/11-GI bill to us and explained the great benefits of being in the Coast Guard. Some examples of the benefits are 36 months of educational benefits and great training programs. The Gi bill also helps pay for the cost of books and housing while you attend college. This experience was relevant to me because it sparked my interest with the Coast Guard and I will keep it as an option for my future while doing the college process. We all had a great time learning about all the things the Coast Guard does and all learned a lot.
