Morse Code
In the sophomore class, we have been learning about Morse Code. Morse Code is a way of communicating using signals of flashing lights. The code is composed of short and long signals, each with a different combination that represents a letter in the alphabet. We have been practicing in class how to send and receive different codes using flashlights. When you are sending the code, you have to first determine what message you will be sending. Once you've determined that, you then have to read the chart to understand what order you are going to send the signals in. Then you send the signals by flashing your flashlight in short and long intervals. When you are receiving the code, you have to decipher the different signals by determining if it was a short or long signal. I find the concept of Morse Code really cool because it's a way of communicating without talking.
