Visiting GMD Ship yard

The MST junior class took a class trip to the GMD shipyard in Brooklyn. It was during my internship, so I helped crew Indy ferry them there and back. The shipyard was pretty incredible. The boats were in dry docks, tethered to the ground around them. There were piles of harbor sludge in the dry docks that were forty feet tall. It was disconcerting to imagine the docks being filled with water and then pumping the water out.
