Maine Maritime Trip

Yesterday at Maine Maritime Academy we went down to the docks and were able to grab Captain Zander, who was able to give us a tour of his beautiful tug boat which he was very proud of. He had recently put down a new coat of paint and given the engine a whole makeover. The tug boat itself was very impressive and I'm very glad I was picked for this trip and able to come up and see what this school has to offer. I became very excited by their celestial navigation course because I've never heard or thought of using the stars to navigate. In New York City, we can't practice that way of navigation because of light pollution.
