Hassan Barksdale
Hassan was the first New York Harbor School alumni to graduate from SUNY Maritime College. He has been immersed in the maritime field, captaining NY Water Taxi ferries, crewing tugs, and serving as 2nd Mate for Maersk Shipping. He has traveled the world and has made all of his teachers envies his adventures on FacebookRecently, Hassan has upgraded his the United States Coast Guard License to 1600 ton Ocean Master and Chief Mate Unlimited. What an amazing accomplishment and inspiration to all of our students.
We look forward to Hassan's progression through the field and his goal of achieving Unlimited Ocean Master of Steam and Motor Vessels. He will then will be able to take any size ship anywhere in the world!
